The Beginning

As I sit here watching "Eat, Pray, Love", I decided to start writing the blog that I was actually trying to start this morning.

I actually haven't blogged since April. I used to do another blog about my random opinions on Jamaica Travel, opinions and politics. I guess I  was having some form of writers block.
Who thought that could happen being a blogger, where it is out most respected when you write random things. *Snickers*

After a few days of pondering on remaking a new blog, this morning is when I decided that I would start writing about the experiences I am going through as a Young Adult striving to survive in this crazy hectic world.

I am 22 years old, and to be honest by the time I was 20 I had dropped out of college twice.
The reason for this, well after lots of meditation; I would say its because I like to many areas of study to focus on one thing. I one day realized that though school is a great asset in life, if you know how to get your dream.. Go for it and get hands on experience!
(Now that isn't suggested for everyone of course, but for people like me)

I love writing, reading, art (graphic design, drawing, and even beading) travelling, photography, and than last but not least music... And when I say Music, Music is my life.
It invades my mind, there is always a song in my head.
I have had people try to tell me that everyone loves music. The thing is that it is hard to explain to you how music makes me feel.

Okay, So I agree I am useless when it comes to playing bass, I have even tried signing, I can write to rhythms only because I understand the basic concept of a sonnet or ballad..
So exactly what people re-initiate to me. "What, You only listen to it"
Music means that much more to me than that. I dream and live music. Music helps me meditate, music brings my spirits up, music is my supplement to any drug.

Now getting to where that has leaded me now.
With such a drive to be in the music industry some how, some way.
I could never be happy doing anything.. till now.

I work a full-time Customer Service job, in the cell phone industry (Technology another interest on my list).
I am in the process of registering a organization for the Youth in Jamaica, to assist with school supplies and eventually run a community center in St. Ann's Bay that will have homework help, dance classes, a girls group, a boys group.... several little ideas. Eventually try to bring it all across Jamaica.
On top of that I run a Promotions company for Urban entertainment with a friend. We help promote artists in, DJ's, and Labels within the Urban categorie, i.e Reggae, Dancehall, HipHop and R&B. We also help promote others Events,  and ss well as host our own events.
As EmpreSSion Promotions grows bigger, I recently was asked to help with an upcoming "Dancehall" Magazine. Which for those who are reading this that do not know Dancehall, it is a form a music created in Jamaica branching off of Reggae. With this recent opportunity I will be able to be involved with Music even more, and on top of it, my favorite forms of Music.

So as I am rebuilding my life, after I reached an all time low. I can say that I have grown really confident, and decided writing about it would be a great form of expressing my excitement.

So I invite you to read on through my updates that I will try to do atleast once a week.

Stay Tuned for a write up on my upcoming trip to Jamaica, as well as the positive and negatives of being a young female entrepreneur.

The movie is almost over now, and my eyes are growing tired.

I wish you a goodnight.

Bless up.
